People's help must for green Dhaka city

It is not possible for a mayor to solve Dhaka city's garbage management problem without help from the residents, said Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq yesterday.

DNCC would solve 70 percent of garbage related problems by the beginning of next year, said the mayor at a views-exchange meeting in the capital.

State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan and lawmakers Sahara Khatun, and Farukh Khan assured the mayor of their full support in his efforts to make Dhaka a green city.
