Permanent bar on celebration on Aug 15 sought at Barisal court
An ex-leader of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) yesterday filed a case with a Barisal court, praying for imposition of a permanent injunction on celebration of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's birthday on National Mourning Day, August 15.
Moin Tushar, former joint secretary of BCL's BM College unit, filed the case with the senior assistant judge's court, said his lawyer Azad Rahman.
BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and presidents and general secretaries of the district, city and upazila units of Barisal, were made defendants.
The judge, HM Kabir Hossain, received the case but did not pass any order yesterday.
