PM inaugurates 20 mobile apps to smoothen govt info services

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday inaugurated 20 mobile apps developed by the government to provide information and its services to the people of the country in a smoother way.

The prime minister inaugurated the apps while visiting the ICT Division.

The apps are on the Election Commission, the civil aviation and tourism ministry, BKSP, NBR, ERD and Rupali Bank under the finance ministry, Rice Knowledge Bank of BRRI, Sericulture Information under the textiles and jute ministry, Agriculture Information Service, Jubo Unnayan Odhidoptar under the youth and sports ministry, the environment and forests ministry, PID under the information ministry, Tula Unnayon Board under the agriculture ministry, Mobile Health Service under the health ministry, Dhaka City Corporation (South) and Bangladesh Bank and Infokosh Tube of A2I.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Division Junaid Ahmed Polok at the event said all the ministries and government entities will gradually create their own apps for the same purpose.
