Protest against Sust VC goes on

A section of pro-Awami League teachers of the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sust), who have been demanding Vice Chancellor Prof Aminul Haque Bhuiyan's resignation since mid-April, continued their protest yesterday.

They brought out a procession, held a rally in front of the administrative building and staged a two-hour sit-in in front of the VC's office.

They accuse Prof Aminul of nepotism and corruption.

Meanwhile, the university announced a budget of Tk 58.72 crore for 2015-16 on Monday.
