Residential building tilts in N'ganj

A four-storey residential building tilted towards an adjacent five-storey building in Narayanganj's Fatullah area yesterday.

The building owned by one Firoz Mia in the area might have tilted owing to the recent earthquake, said a resident.

On information, a fire service team rushed in and vacated it immediately, said Din Moni, deputy assistant director of local fire station, adding that they declared it risky.

"There is a risk of an accident. We will evacuate both buildings as soon as possible," said Superintendent of Police Khandakar Mohin Uddin of Narayanganj.

No casualty was, however, reported in this regard.
