Road accidents kill three, injure one
A physically challenged auto-rickshaw driver died of head injuries when a vehicle hit the rickshaw from behind near LabAid in the capital's Dhanmondi yesterday.
Mohammad Ibrahim, 30, of Bhola, lived at Rayer Bazar in the city with his mother, wife and two daughters.
He was driving the battery-run auto-rickshaw when a vehicle hit it around 7:00am.
Passerby took seriously injured Ibrahim to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died around 10:45am.
In Kurigram Sadar, Hasen Ali, 55, of Palashbari village was killed and another was injured when a bus hit their motorcycle on Kurigram-Rangpur highway in Agomoni Bazar area yesterday.
Agitated locals blocked the highway disrupting vehicular movement for two hours.
In Bogra, van-puller Azizul Haque, 35, of Aligram Uttorpara village was killed when a truck hit his vehicle on Bogra-Rangpur highway in Nagorkandi area of Shibganj upazila yesterday.
