Road crashes kill 11
Eleven people were killed and eight others injured in road accidents in three districts yesterday.
In Manikganj Sadar, four people were killed and seven others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a pick-up van on Dhaka-Aricha highway at BSIC Industrial area.
Two of the deceased were Tokdir Molla, 70, of Naril and Rasel, 35, of Gopalganj.
In Kushtia, two sisters were killed when their car fell into a roadside ditch as the driver lost control over the vehicle on Kushtia-Rajbari highway at Moragacha of Khoksa upazila.
The deceased were Tahia, 4, and Tathoi, 2, daughters of Jahidul Islam.
In Sirajganj, five people were killed and another was injured when a bus rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Sirajganj-Pabna highway in Boalkhali area of Ullapara.
Four of the deceased were Mahamudul Islam, 40, Amzad Hossain, 50, Jahangir Alam, 45, and Bokul Hossain, 22, of the district.
