RU Chhatra Moitri demands ban on Jamaat-Shibir politics

Marking the 22th death anniversary of Bangladesh Chhatra Moitri leader Jubaer Chowdhury Rimu who was killed allegedly by Islami Chhatra Shibir activists, Chhatra Moitri activists of Rajshahi University yesterday demanded a ban on Jamaat-Shibir politics in the country.

Over 50 activists brought out a procession on the campus and staged a rally at Tukitaki Chattar where speakers said Jamaat-Shibir activists are masterminding the consecutive murders of free thinkers.

They also urged the government to ensure justice for Jubaer by bringing the killers to book.

Mahabub Alam Sujon, president of the unit, presided over the rally.
