Nasima Aktar Shoma of The Daily Observer has been elected president and Abul Kalam Azad of the daily Ajker Patrika general secretary of Dhaka Sub-Editors' Council (DSEC).

The voting took place at Jatiya Press Club on Monday, says a press release.

Other office bearers include KM Shahidul Haque of BSS (vice-president), AKM Obaidur Rahman of the daily Janakantha (treasurer), Muktadir Anik of Boishaki TV (joint secretary), and Zakir Hossain Emon of the daily Samakal (organising secretary).
