Shykh Seraj's birthday today

Renowned media personality Shykh Seraj turns 62 today.

Born in 1954 in Chandpur district, Shykh Seraj has been involved with the media in cultural and developmental activities since his student life. He became extremely popular as the host of the famous agricultural documentary "Mati O Manush".

At the age of 39 in 1995, he was the youngest person to receive the highest state accolade 'Ekushey Padak' for his contribution to development journalism.    

He received over fifty honours and accolades from home and abroad, including Bangladesh Economic Association Gold Medal, UK's BCA Golden Jubilee Honour Award, and Green Award from Birmingham community.
