Spelling Bee airs on channel-i tonight

The preliminary round of the fourth season of Spelling Bee will start airing from today at 7:50pm on channel-i.

The 16 episodes of the preliminary round will also be simultaneously released on www.youtube. com/spellbangladesh. 

Each preliminary round will consist of six participants. The round will have three segments -- Spell It, Spell Hive and Spell Buzz. The two top performers will move onto the next round, the quarterfinals. This year the audience can also participate and win prizes courtesy of Bloop.

This time around more than three lakh students participated in the online round of the English spelling competition. A total of 3,000 spellers were chosen from the online round.  

The Spelling Bee team then visited seven divisions and selected 96 spellers out of the 3,000 after a tough competition.
