Sylhet district truck, covered van workers go on indefinite strike tomorrow

Truck and covered van workers will go on an indefinite transport strike in Sylhet district tomorrow demanding removal of the officers-in-charge of Goainghat and Osmaninagar police stations, citing "extortion".

Sylhet Truck and Covered Van Workers' Union announced the strike yesterday.

The decision was taken after a views-exchange meeting among the leaders of different organisations, including Sylhet Truck Owners' Group.
