2 killed in separate incidents in Dhaka
Two persons were killed in two separate incidents in Dhaka’s Jatrabari today.
Rifat Hossain, a teenager, was stabbed to death in Shekhdi area of Jatrabari by a group of youths following “senior-junior” feud, said Abdul Khan, an assistant sub-inspector of Jatrabari Police Station.
Victim’s family members and police said three local youths including Rakib and Mohsin locked into quarrel with Rifat around 2:00pm over the issue.
At one stage, they stabbed Rifat, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where doctos declared dead.
“We are trying to arrest the killers,” ASI Abdul Khan said.
Meanwhile, police recovered the body of an elderly man from his house at Konapara Mominbag area of Jatrabari early today.
The deceased was identified as Mohibullah, 62, police said.
Victim’s family members told police that four to five people entered their house around 3:00am in a bid to commit robbery. They killed Mohibullah as he tried to stop them.
However, Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Jatrabari Police Station, said that they are suspecting family feud behind the murder.
