Text and Theories workshop held at Metropolitan University Sylhet

Metropolitan University, Sylhet organised a workshop on Texts and Theories at the university, said a press release yesterday.

Prof Suresh Ranjan Basak conducted the first session of the workshop "Teaching Literature: Relating Texts to Theories", organised by the English department of the university.

Second session "New Criticism and After: Theory and Literary Criticism in the 20th Century", was conducted by Dr Fakrul Alam, a professor of English at Dhaka University.

Ishrat Ibne Ismail, assistant professor of English and academic coordinator, coordinated the workshop.
