Three die in road crashes

Road accidents killed three persons and injured five others in Nilphamari in the last two days, said police.

Rural Electrification Board employees Mukul Hossain, 40, and Zahid Hossain, 35, were killed and five of their colleagues injured as their pickup hit a tree beside Nilphamari-Saidpur road at Fultola on Thursday.

The accident occured as driver of the vehicle lost control over the steering , said Shajamal Pasha, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station. 

Meanwhile, a youth was killed when a minibus ran him over Dimla upazila yesterday.

The dead was identified as Shafiqul Islam, 27, son of Aminul Islam of Khaga village of the upazila.
