Two arrested with firearms

Two people were arrested with firearms in Chittagong and Dinajpur yesterday.

In Chittagong city, police arrested Suman Chakraborty, 22, of Satkania upazila with a light gun and five bullets after intercepting a Comilla-bound bus in City Gate area.

In Dinajpur, members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Motiar Rahman, 53, of Dhanghora with a pistol, five bullets and two magazines after raiding Dhanghora village in Birampur upazila.

Rab also seized a motorcycle and Tk 6,530 from him, Rab officials said. Two cases were filed.
