Two held over killing of Ctg woman, child

A murder case was filed yesterday over the death of a woman and her daughter in their house at Kunjuri Bottal village of Boalkhali upazila in Chittagong.

Minati Bala Shill, mother of deceased Shelly Shill, filed the case with Boalkhali Police Station against 7 named and some 20 unnamed people, said police.The accused include Shelly's husband Asim Shill, his mother Sabita Rani Shill, uncle Sukumer Shill, two sisters and their husbands.

On Tuesday, police recovered the hanging body of Shelly Shill from her bedroom while the body of her five-year-old daughter Antora Shill was found lying on the bed at that time.

Salahuddin Chowdhury, officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station, said police arrested Sabita and Sukumer, adding that they were continuing drives to arrest the rest.

Shelly's mother in the case statement alleged that the accused killed them following family feuds.
