Warring factions of dissolved CU BCL file cases against each other

The two shuttle train based groups, Concord and Akakar, of the now dissolved Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) unit at Chittagong University (CU) that engaged in sporadic factional clashes on Saturday leaving six of them injured have filed cases each accusing the other of attacking.

Both cases were filed on Sunday night with Hathazari Police Station, the officer-in-charge of which, Mohammad Ismail, said eight of the accused have been arrested whiel investigations were underway.

Meanwhile, the CU authority formed a three-member committee headed by Prof Abul Manchur of microbiology department to investigate the incident.
