Woman killed in road accident

A woman was killed when a bus hit her while she was crossing the Baliadangi-Ranishankoil road in Holdibari village under Baliadangi upazila on Thursday night.

The deceased was Halima Khatun, 29, wife of Dabirul Islam of Vanore Shahapara village of the upazila, who died on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Baliadangi Police Station Aminul Islam said they seized the bus but its driver and helper managed to flee.
