Radwan Mujib visits Dhaka Art Summit exhibit on Bangabandhu

Grandson of Bangabandhu, Radwan Mujib Siddiq, today visited an exhibition ‘Lighting the fire of freedom -- Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ at the Dhaka Art Summit 2020 being held in the capital.

Centre for Research and Information (CRI) arranged the exhibition on Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in association with Information and Communications Technology Division and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on the ground floor of the National Art Gallery.

Radwan Mujib Siddiq, who is a trustee of CRI, visited different galleries of the summit including the one on his grandfather -- diving deep into both art and history, report BSS.

The organisers of the Dhaka Art Summit had expressed their desire to showcase at least one exhibition dedicated to the celebration of Mujib Year, the Executive Director of CRI Sabbir Bin Shams was quoted as saying.

CRI assisted the organisers with design, pictures, photographs and more, he added.

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid, who is also a trustee of CRI, offered his consultancy on design and content.

Dhaka Art Summit is an annual event which has been organised since 2012. It is considered one of the biggest exhibitions of artworks and paintings in South Asia and kicked off at the National Art Gallery of Shilpakala Academy from February 7. It will continue till February 15.
