3 arrested with firearms

Police yesterday arrested three people with arms and ammunitions from Chandona village in Nachole upazila of the district. The arrestees are Abdul Khalek, 40, son of Toslimuddin, Imam Hossain, 35, and Mohammad Shahin, 25, of Telkupi village under Shibganj upazila. Sub-Inspector Shahidul Islam of Nachole Police Station said a police team, acting on a tip-off, intercepted two motorcycles at the village at around 2:30pm and arrested the three. Police also seized two pistols, six bullets and four magazines from their possession.
