Boat capsizes, one missing

A man went missing as a boat capsized in the River Kacha under Bhandaria upazila of the district on Monday. The victim is Md Shaheed Munshi, 35, son of Nur Islam Munshi of Tushkhali village in Mathbaria upazila. Md Kamruzzaman Talukder, officer-in-charge of Bhandaria Police Station, said an engine-driven boat carrying 30 workers was going to Faridpur district from Tushkhali village.

When the boat reached Telekhali Launch Ghat, it overturned and sank in the river. Shaheed went missing while others managed to swim ashore.
