Housewife found dead

Police recovered the body of a housewife at Kumarkhali village in Shirajdikhan upazila yesterday.

The deceased is Nazmim Akhter, 20, wife of Monir Hossain, an expatriate in Brunei, of the village. She was mother of five-year-old girl.

The family members of Monir alleged that Nazmim took her life by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room on Monday night.

However, Abdul Awal, father of the deceased, alleged that Nazmim's in-laws killed her over family feud and hanged the body from the ceiling to pass it off as a suicide.

On information, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Munshiganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Yeardous Hasan, officer-in-charge of Shirajdikhan Police Station, they are investigating the incident.
