Human trafficker arrested

Law enforcers in a drive arrested a suspected human trafficker from Sonarpara area in Ukhiya upazila yesterday.

The arrestee is Rustom Ali, 45, son of late Yousuf Ali of Sonaichhari village.

On secret information, a police team raided the area around 9:00am and arrested Rustom from a restaurant, said Premananda Das, sub-inspector of Ukhiya Police Station.

Rustom is an accused in four cases for human trafficking filed with Ukhiya Police Station, said police.
