Husband kills wife

A housewife was killed allegedly by her husband at Ghion village in Nachole upazila of the district yesterday. The deceased is Selina Begum, 50, wife of Hazrat Ali of the village. Tarikul Islam, officer-in-charge of Nachole Police Station, said Hazrat stabbed Selina, leaving her critically injured following an altercation over family matter around 4:00am. She later died on way to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital. Police arrested Hazrat in this connection, said the OC.
