Lightning injures 30

At least 30 people were injured by lightning at eight villages in Patgram upazila of the district yesterday afternoon.  The injured include Farida Begum, 27, Dipti Akhter, 8, Rabeya Akhter,12, Marzia Akhter,8, Maharup Hossain,7, Ramisa Begum, 44, Samiul Islam,13, Rumana Akhter,9, Mahfuza Akhter,11, Suzon Islam,12, of Banglabari village, Akhlima Begum,45, of Mirzacourt village, Habiba Akhter,7, of Dhabolsuti village, Alam Hossain,35, of Jagatber village, Mariom Akhter,10, and Dipu Islam,12, of Ufarmara village, Shaheda Bewa,62, of Panbari village, and Enamul Haque,35, Akhi Akhter,22, of Mominpur village. Of them, 21 were admitted to the upazila health complex, said hospital sources.
