Man dies falling from tree

A man died falling from a mahogany tree at Ratandia village in Monirampur upazila of Jessore district yesterday morning. The deceased was identified as Alauddin Gazi, 40, a resident of the village. The victim's bother Giasuddin Gazi said Alauddin climbed on the tree for cutting its branches in the morning. At one stage, he fell down from the tree and sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
