Manikganj Shibir chief held

Police arrested the president of Manikganj district unit of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) from bus stand area on Saturday on charge of torching vehicles during the BNP-led 20-party alliance's countrywide blockade in January this year. The arrestee is Nurul Islam, 30, son of Abdul Gafur of Purbapara in Ghior upazila. Aminur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Manikganj Police Station, said the Shibir chief was wanted in six cases for torching vehicles.
