Mother, daughter among 3 'gang-raped' in Pabna

Two women and a child including a mother and her daughter were reportedly gang-raped during a holiday trip in Chatmohar upazila of Pabna last night.

Two of the victims, who were garment workers, aged 28 and 25 respectively, and the daughter, 12, went on a holiday trip at one of their colleagues at Rampur village of Haripur union in Chatmohar upazila a week ago, our Pabna correspondent reports quoting police.

"A group of 5 to 10 miscreants gang-raped them at Gozargari Bill area of Haripur after kidnapping them from the house," said Md Ekramul Haque, officer-in-charge of Chatmohar Police Station.

One of the victims filed a case with the police station this morning accusing 8 to 10 people, the police official said.

The victims were sent to Pabna Medical College Hospital for medical test, the OC said.
