Six bombs recovered

Police seized six bombs from Kholadanga area in Jessore district town yesterday.

Being informed that two rival groups -- one led by Hasan and Azizul and another by Hemayet -- were making preparation to clash, the law enforcers raided the area and seized the bombs from there, said Tarek Mohammad, sub-inspector of Jessore Kotwali Police Station.

However, the rival groups managed to flee the scene, sensing the presence of the policemen.

A case was filed, against 11 people, including Hasan, Azizul and Hemayet, under the Explosives Act, said the SI.

Away in Meherpur, a youth was injured in bomb attacks by criminals at Kosba village in Gangni upazila of the district on Tuesday night, reports our Kushtia correspondent.

The victim, Likhon Mia, 19, of the village was admitted to Kushtia Medical College Hospital.
