Our Correspondent, Bogra

Amid threat from stalkers, who recently got release on bail, a Class IX female student at Nimgaci village of Dhunat upazila under the district has stopped going to school.

The victim's father Md Moniruzzaman lodged a general diary with Dhunat Police Station on Monday as three youths, earlier charge-sheeted in a case filed by him on September 21 last year, gave fresh threat on Sunday.

The accused are Rana Mia, 25, son of Zillur Rahman, Hasan Ferdous, 23, son of Faruk Hossain, and Manik Mia, 25, son of Tafil Uddin of Nimgaci village under the upazila.

"As the stalkers released an obscene video with a doctored picture of my daughter, her father lodged a case with Dhunat Police Station. Police on May 30 this year submitted charge sheet against the three stalkers but they later got bail," said Rahela Khatun, mother of the victim, a Class IX student of Shorugram High School of the area.

Women and Children Repression Prevention Court-2 of Bogra granted the bail on July 16, said Md Abdul Mannan, pleader of the victim's family.

"After getting bail, the charge-sheeted accused gave threats to us for withdrawing the case. They also snatched gold ornaments of the girl's aunt on Sunday. My daughter stopped going to school a few days ago," said the girl's father.

Mizanur Rahman, OC of Dhunat PS, said police will take action if the accused disturb the girl again.
