‘Dhrupad’ brings an evening of classical dance to Dhaka

Cultural organisation Bhairabi organised a classical dance festival titled “Dhrupad” on May 11, bringing together five distinct schools of classical dance.

The festival aimed to celebrate the richness, diversity, and timeless beauty of classical dance traditions through an evening of refined performances and artistic expression.

The event was held at 7 pm at the Studio Theatre Hall of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka.

Renowned dance maestros Tamanna Rahman, Saju Ahmed, and Dr Shoma Momtaz attended the event as distinguished guests. 

Through this initiative, Bhairabi created a memorable cultural experience for dance enthusiasts and audiences, while highlighting the elegance and depth of classical dance heritage.
