Maasranga TV to celebrate Babita's birthday with special programme

Legendary actress Babita is set to be celebrated in a special programme, “Babita Samagra”, on Maasranga Television to mark her birthday on July 30. The occasion also coincides with the channel's 15th anniversary, making it a double celebration. The programme has been conceived, written and hosted by Rumman Rashid Khan.

“Babita Samagra” chronicles the iconic actress's life and career, tracing her journey from childhood to the present day. Alongside revisiting her remarkable contributions to Bangladeshi cinema, the programme also explores lesser-known chapters of her personal life through stories shared by colleagues, friends and well-wishers.

Adding to the celebration is a star-studded line-up featuring some of the country's most prominent names from the worlds of film, music and culture. Legendary singers Runa Laila and Sabina Yasmin, actor-director Alamgir, actor Masud Parvez Sohel Rana, actresses Anwara and Jaya Ahsan, Babita's sisters and fellow actresses Suchanda and Champa, as well as actors Afzal Hossain and Shakib Khan, will appear in the programme, reminiscing about their experiences with Babita and sharing heartfelt birthday wishes.
