Rapper Offset hospitalised after Florida shooting, now stable

Offset, a member of the chart-topping rap trio Migos, has been hospitalised after being shot on Monday (April 6) evening near a casino in Florida. His representative confirmed that he is in a stable condition and that his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police said the incident occurred shortly after 7:00pm in the valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Authorities noted that the shooting followed a physical altercation, although they did not officially identify the victim. The injured individual was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment.

According to CNN entertainment, in connection with the incident, Tione Jayden Merritt has been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Police added that the investigation is ongoing and that efforts are underway to identify others who may have been involved.

Meanwhile, speculation linking Lil Tjay to the shooting has been dismissed by his lawyer, who stated that he was neither involved nor charged.

Offset, formerly married to Cardi B, rose to fame alongside Quavo and the late Takeoff as part of Migos.
