Sanjoy, Pritom to perform in Dhaka ahead of FIFA World Cup final

Bangladeshi-origin international DJ and music producer Sanjoy Deb and singer Pritom Hasan will perform at two separate concerts in Dhaka tonight (Sunday), ahead of the FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and Spain.

Sanjoy Deb, who recently shared the stage with Bollywood star Nora Fatehi at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Canada, has also performed at several World Cup fan festivals across the United States. His Dhaka appearance is part of the same tour.

Having already arrived in the capital, Sanjoy visited the venue ahead of the show and expressed his excitement about performing in the city where his musical journey began.

“Beyond the opening ceremony, I’ve performed at several FIFA World Cup events. Now I’m looking forward to performing in Dhaka, where my story began. I’m really excited about this concert,” he said.

Sanjoy will be joined by DJ Trisha and DJ Rishad at the event. Following the performance, he is scheduled to travel to California for another concert in San Francisco.

Meanwhile, United Convention Centre will host another World Cup final event titled “Final Kickoff,” where fans will be able to watch the match live on a giant screen alongside a live concert.
Singer Pritom Hasan will headline the musical lineup, joined by Firoze Jung, The Brown Testament and Jessia Islam.

The overnight event will begin on July 19 and continue into the early hours of July 20, combining live entertainment with the screening of football’s biggest match.
