AI joins Pahela Baishakh celebrations with new song
A new song created with the help of artificial intelligence has joined this year’s Pahela Baishakh releases, adding a technological twist to the Bengali New Year celebrations.
Alongside new songs from singers and musicians, AI has also found a place in Bangla music this season. Blending the traditional atmosphere of Bengal with modern technology, the experiment has created what its makers describe as a distinctive musical experience.
The song, titled “Digital Baishakh”, has been produced by IT and production company MusicFlux Studio. While the lyrics and composition were developed through human creativity, AI algorithms were used for the main vocals and music arrangement.
The track was created by Shah Imraul Kayes, who said the AI system was trained on Bangla folk music, rural songs, and the timeless melodies associated with Baishakh before the final composition was generated through specific prompts.
According to the creators, the AI-generated voice was designed to carry both a modern tone and the earthy essence of Bengali tradition. They also claimed that although technology played a major role in the production, the song’s emotional and cultural depth remained intact.
“Digital Baishakh” has already been released on MusicFlux’s YouTube channel.
