Taylor Swift unveils new single for ‘Toy Story 5’
After weeks of speculation and fan theories, Taylor Swift has officially revealed the mystery behind a series of cryptic teasers, announcing a new single titled “I Knew It, I Knew You” in collaboration with “Toy Story 5”.
The announcement comes after Swift’s fanbase, widely known as “Swifties”, spent weeks decoding clues scattered across social media and promotional campaigns.
The speculation began in late April when a countdown appeared on Swift’s official website. Fans quickly noticed that the background closely resembled the iconic cloud wallpaper from Andy’s bedroom featured in the “Toy Story” films, while the typography appeared similar to the franchise’s signature logo.
Further fuelling rumours, fans pointed out that Swift was photographed wearing an outfit featuring colours associated with the “Toy Story” universe shortly before the countdown launched.
Adding to the excitement, Pixar shared a video on social media showing the character Jessie dancing in front of a billboard displaying the initials “TS”. The post referenced Swift’s hit song “Shake It Off” with the caption: “She’s making those moves up as she goes!”
Swifties also noted another detail that appeared too deliberate to be a coincidence. The billboard featured 13 clouds surrounding the letters “TS” — a number closely associated with the singer, who has frequently described 13 as her favourite number and incorporated it into her branding throughout her career.
The reveal has been met with enthusiasm from fans, many of whom had correctly predicted a connection between Swift and the upcoming Pixar sequel long before the official announcement.
While further details about how “I Knew It, I Knew You” will be featured in “Toy Story 5” have yet to be disclosed, the collaboration marks another high-profile addition to Swift’s growing catalogue of film-related projects.
