"The Actuality of Fiction", a captivating solo exhibition by acclaimed Bangladeshi artist Uttam Kumar Roy is currently underway at Alliance Française de Dhaka. Curated by Mustafa Zaman, the exhibition opened its doors on July 5, and will continue until July 16.

On July 6, the troupe held a grand ceremony on the eve of its founding anniversary at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy's National Theatre Hall to present the Loko Natyadal Award 2021-22 to six distinguished theatre personalities.

In the wake of two triumphant editions, the third edition of the exhibition of the principal local event celebrating the practice of photojournalism in the country, the “Bangladesh Press Photo Contest 2024”, lifted its curtains yesterday. Today (June 25) at 7:15pm, the eighth rendezvous of "Rabindranather Dwitiyo Bijoya" will be staged at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The play is written, directed, and conceptualised by Asadul Islam, the head of Mad Theatre.

A photo exhibition, inspired by the renowned poetic novel "Shesher Kobita" by the legendary Rabindranath Tagore, is set to take place this Friday (June 28) at 6pm at the Chitrashala Auditorium of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

Humayun Faridee, a luminary of Bangladeshi stages, screens, and television, took his final breath on February 13, 2012, in Dhaka. Yet his physical departure does not signify erasure. His creations and artistry have transcended time, rendering him immortal in the hearts of his admirers. While literal victory over death is unattainable, Faridee achieved a form of immortality through the enduring legacy of his work.

Today (May 29) marks the 72nd birth anniversary of the late Humayun Faridee. On this occassion, a book titled "Humayun Faridee: An Ordinarily Extraordinary Man" is set to be released. Edited by Ahmed Rezaur Rahman, the book's cover was designed by Afzal Hossain. It features reflections from 60 eminent cultural figures who were close to Faridee.
