Renowned Indian singer Shaan is all ready to make his acting debut in the upcoming musical "Music School" on May 12.

"When I first started working on a song for 'Music School', I had no idea I would end up also appearing in it. The film's director, Paparao Biyyala, suggested casting me while I was still recording the song because he thought I would be the ideal fit for the role they were seeking for," said Shaan.

In the movie, which is set to be released this week and stars Shriya Saran and Sharman Joshi as the lead.

The sensitive and pervasive issue of academic pressure placed on young students by society, parents, and teachers is the focus of the musical film "Music School." With 11 songs in the film, three of them have been remade from 'The Sound of Music' and have been brilliantly weaved into the film to suit the sensibilities of the Indian audience.

The musical film is directed and produced by former IAS officer turned director Paparao Biyyala.
