Tawsif, Niha star in Eid drama ‘Prematal’

An Eid special drama, Prematal, is set to present a poignant story of love, disappearance and the anguish of waiting.

The drama stars Tawsif Mahbub and Naznin Niha in the lead roles. It is written and directed by Hasib Hossain Rakhi, with cinematography by Suman Hossain. Shooting has recently wrapped.

Blending romance, emotional conflict and dramatic twists, the narrative centres on a man who has gone missing. Neither his mother nor his newlywed wife knows whether he is alive or dead. Their shared uncertainty forms the emotional core of the story, transforming what begins as a tale of love into one defined by endurance and unanswered questions.

Director Rakhi described the project as equally about a mother waiting for her son and a wife waiting for her husband. He noted that the story carries layers of love, resentment, emotional turmoil and harsh realities within and beyond that waiting.

Producer SK Sahed Ali Pappu said emotionally layered scripts are rare, adding that Prematal will be one of the banner’s key productions for Eid. The drama is scheduled to premiere on CMV’s official YouTube channel during the Eid festivities.
