Top Dhallywood stars set to lead Eid 2026 releases
Eid is just around the corner, and new movies are getting ready for release. The exact number of films to hit the theaters isn’t confirmed yet, but preparations are underway. Some say a record number of films may be released, though theaters are not as many as before. Like previous Eids, Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan will have a new movie this Eid.
Let’s see who the heroes of the Eid movies are:
Shakib Khan is starring in “Prince”, directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud. Although the movie features many other stars, in Bangladesh it is promoted mainly as Shakib Khan’s film. “Prince” will be released in a record number of theaters. The film features both Dhaka and Indian actresses.
Afran Nisho is starring in “Domm”, directed by Redoan Rony. Last year, “Surongo” had an on-screen clash between Shakib Khan and Afran Nisho. This year, audiences will enjoy another showdown between the two stars. “Domm” was shot in Kazakhstan and Bangladesh. Besides Nisho, Chanchal Chowdhury also plays an important role in the film. So, the two heroes of “Domm” are Afran Nisho and Chanchal Chowdhury. Chanchal Chowdhury says that watching “Domm” will fill the audience’s hearts, and it is going to be a great movie.

Siam Ahmed is returning as a hero with “Rakkhosh”, directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy. Last Eid, he impressed audiences with “Jongli”, and now in “Rakkhosh”, he will appear in a new avatar. The movie was shot in Sri Lanka, and the heroine is Indian actress Susmita Chatterjee. “Rakkhosh” is primarily an action movie. Siam Ahmed is confident the audience will like it.
Arifin Shuvoo is the hero of “Malik”, which is also an action film. The heroine is Bidya Sinha Mim. During shooting, Arifin Shuvoo had a serious accident with fire but remains very optimistic about the movie. “Malik” is directed by Saif Chandan.
Shariful Razz is coming this Eid with “Bonolota Express”. The story is based on a novel by famous writer Humayun Ahmed. Last year, Shariful Razz impressed the audience with a new movie, and expectations are high for this one as well. Besides Shariful Razz, Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, and Shamol Mawla also star in the film. It is directed by Tanim Noor.
Popular small-screen actor Shajal is starring in “Durbar”, which will release this Eid. For the first time, Shajal is paired with Apu Biswas as the hero. “Durbar” is mainly an action film. Shajal says the movie will be amazing, full of surprises and new ideas. The audience will see him in a new way. The film is directed by Kamrul Hasan Fuad.
Ador Azad is the hero in “Tribunal”, directed by Raihan Khan.
Raihan Rafi’s movie “Pressure Cooker” is also expected to release this Eid. However, this film doesn’t have a traditional hero; it features several heroines instead.
Several other movies are also rumored for Eid, but we will have to wait and see how many actually release.
