5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts Bangladesh

An earthquake of 5.2 magnitude was felt around the country including Dhaka, Gaibandha, Bogura and Rajshahi this morning.

The epicentre of the earthquake was in Lakhipur of India's Assam, a duty official of Bangladesh Meteorological Department told The Daily Star.

The jolts were felt at 9:15am in the country, he added.
