Ishwardi records highest temperature of this year

Ishwardi today had the highest temperature in the country this year 43 degrees Celsius, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

In Dhaka, the temperature dropped to 38.1 degrees Celsius today from the highest of 40.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday, said Forman Ali, meteorological assistant of BMD, told The Daily Star.

"This year the highest temperature was recorded today in Ishwardi and it is the highest in the recent history of Bangladesh," Md. Shaheenul Islam, a meteorologist of BMD, said.
