Rain, thunderstorms likely in parts of country over next 24 hours: BMD

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers in parts of the country over the 24 hours from 9:00am today.

“Rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning flashes, are likely at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin.

The weather may remain mainly dry elsewhere, with skies expected to stay partly cloudy across the country, the bulletin added.

Both day and night temperatures may rise slightly nationwide.
