Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday said there is no doubt about the involvement of Khaleda Zia and her son in the August 21 grenade attack.

She was addressing a rally after placing wreaths at the memorial of martyrs of the gruesome August 21 grenade attack at Bangabandhu Avenue.

The programme was organised marking the 11th anniversary of the attack that left 24 people killed and several hundred injured.

The PM said it is evident in all the activities of the then BNP-Jamaat government that BNP was in a move to kill her and annihilate her party.

She blasted the USA and Canada for giving shelter to some killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members.

"America is not sending back two killers. It is giving them the scope to stay there... Canada is also doing the same," she complained.

"This is unfortunate... these countries are giving shelter to killers and we've to listen to their lectures on human rights."

Hasina noted that her government was trying to bring those killers back home.

She placed two wreaths at the memorial as the premier and president of AL.

A one-minute silence was observed and a special munajat was offered, seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of the dead victims.

Cabinet members, PM's advisers, senior leaders of AL and 14-party combine and victims' family members were present.
