The lone diseased is a female patient from Dhaka Division

Two women died from Covid-19 and 15 new cases of the disease were reported in the 24 hours preceding 8:00am yesterday, according to the health directorate.

Eight cases from Dhaka Division, five from Chattogram Division, and two from Mymensingh Division

One died of Covid-19 last Thursday

The DGHS today issued an 11-point directive to contain the spread of the virus across the country

DGHS has also instructed to enhance health screening and surveillance measures at all land, river, and airports

According to a statement signed by Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, public relations officer at the airport, a set of precautionary measures has been rolled out to prevent potential spread of the virus through international arrivals

The move comes following an alert issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on June 6

With the new numbers, the country's total Covid-19 caseload rose to 2,021,742
