2 Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours, positivity rate 12%

Two people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today (October 3, 2022), said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,371 and the death rate stands at 1.45 percent.

At least 696 new coronavirus cases were recorded during this period. The daily positivity rate is 12 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.61 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,26,908, the release added. A total of 5,801 samples were tested across the country during this period. At least 538 Covid-19 patients have recovered within this time.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,66,645 and the recovery rate at 97.03 percent, said the release.

The two deceased were male and aged between 61-70 years old, added the release.
