Covid-19: 4 more deaths, positivity rate now 2.18%

At least 436 new infections were recorded and four people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 2.18 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.38 percent.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,089 and the mortality rate stands at 1.49 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,47,702, added the release.

A total of 20,009 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.

At least 3,546 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,46,884 and the recovery rate at 94.82 percent, added the release.

Of the four deceased, three were male and one was female.

Of them, one was between 21-30, two were between 61-70, and one was within 71-80 years old, added the release.
