No Covid-19 death in 24hrs; positivity rate now 6.94%

At least 282 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in 24 hours till 8:00am today (September 7, 2022), said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

No death from Covid-19 was reported during this period as such the death toll from the virus remains 29,329.

The Covid-19 death rate at the moment is 1.46 percent.

The current positivity rate is 6.94 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.62 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,136,89, the release added.

A total of 4,066 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 165 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,57,820 and the recovery rate at 97.23 percent, added the release.
