Star Digital Report

Everyone eligible to get vaccinated (aged 12 years and above) can take the first dose of Covid-19 vaccines without registration or showing any document at any centre in the country from now on.

Besides, there will be a special countrywide campaign on February 26 with a target to inoculate one crore people, after which the first dose vaccination will be closed.

"February 26 will be the last date of administering first dose of Covid-19 vaccine... we want to bring the most number of people under vaccine coverage by that time," Dr Shamsul Haque, member secretary of the National Covid-19 Vaccine Management Taskforce at the DGHS, said in an online briefing this noon.

There will be additional vaccination centres in all unions, upazilas, municipalities and city corporation areas.
